Dunster Station
Dunster station is situated some distance from the village but the walk is worthwhile for the attractive village with its Castle and variety of other attractions.
The former goods yard is now home to the WSR’s Permanent Way Department (they look after track, fences, bridges and the infrastructure of the line generally). The goods shed still stands and is reputedly haunted.
Dunster station also houses a printing press, which produces thousands of traditional Edmondson Card Railway Tickets both for the West Somerset and other heritage railways. There are now some picnic tables on the platform which prove popular with passengers waiting for trains when the weather is favourable.
Dunster is the ninth and penultimate station on the West Somerset Railway.
